I heard recently on the interwebs that Dal Toro Ristorante has a new vegan menu, so I’ve been dying to go try it out. Not that I had ever tried their old vegan menu but they had me at “men”. Seeing as right now is one of the few times of the year where being outdoors in Vegas is a-ok, it was a great opportunity to sit outside on the patio, which overlooks the Strip. This would have been entertainment enough for me, but I ended up being fully amused by the single duck that would wade up to us at our pond-side table looking for snacks. Where did he come from?? Does he live there?? So many questions.
For din din, we started with the Eggplant Carpaccio + bread with oil & balsamic vinegar, I also had the Minestrone Soup and my entre was the Mushroom Risotto. Everything was lovely. The only disappointment was they were out of the Double Chocolate Vegan Brownie, so I’ll be going back. The reviews on Yelp aren’t the best, which is surprising since the food was great and our waiter was attentive and funny. The non-vegans also enjoyed their meals and bday tiramisu (the duck didn’t get any of that).
Oh and no big deal but we found a gigantic underground exotic & classic car museum, and even a private dining room where you can eat like in the middle of the cars so, there’s that.
